I also tried version 2021.1.6 but it still crashes. I only have one texture displacement
It's looks like your geometries or vertex displacement. Having one displacement doesn't mean that will not crash. It's possible if you go high on tessellation.

It seems strange to me because the surface with dispacement is very small and the resolution is only set to 1024.
In attached two other crash reports if could helps

These are not bugreports with crashes. Better to contact to support with your scene and details about errors.

				Hi Ahmet/Team,
Having endless crashes with a project when starting Live Viewer and after I add another material to an object with a polygon selection it will crash every time.
Cinema 4D R26.107
Octane plugin 2021.1.6-R4-win
RTX 3090 24Gb
Titan Xp 12Gb
Attaching crash reports. Any direct clues on what is going on?
Please be gentle, I am new to PC

Grateful for a solution as work is now halted.

@Torquee, please file a support ticket at
[email protected] and include your scene and associated textures. Do this via
File > Save Project As... — archive the result and send it in.

mixMaterialSoloNodeProblem.zip

Try to convert the Mix Material into a Composite Material, by going in Live View menu
Materials/Convert material command.
Mix Material has several limitations, always better to use a Composite Material instead.
ciao,
Beppe

Hi,
Solo node feature does not work on Mix material as well.
I can't make tests right now but currently I can't view solo nodes.
I will try to make some tests another time for this issue, I don't know it is happening for me or it is caused by plugin I'm not sure.

Mix Material is essentially deprecated. I would not expect to see any changes in that regard.

Any plans to get rid of MIX materials?
Hope not since I find good to have different options for different workflows scenarios.
