OSL scripts doesn't compile at all when custom OSL folder is used ( from settings - paths - OSL script location ).
Dragging custom OSLs from this new custom OSL menu do nothing :
Also "include OSL folders" from paths seems to not work too.

C4D baked gradient interpolation doesn't work
Gradients still have brightness issue using OCIO C4D color management.

OSL is not visible if loaded from C4D Asset Browser :

We don't use C4D OCIO settings, why do you want yo use it?

It have slight better OGL representation. Anyway not important so much.
But Field Texture in Shape mode still doesn't work. I even can't get to work operators like intersect, substract between Sdf objects.
EDIT :
ok it works within VectronOP but I think it is little buggy because of wrong hierarchical dependencies. Please see, upper sphere should be united not subscracted :
I don't know how hierarchy dependencies works in Standalone but here the main problem is that it support only straight one without more complex boolean hierarchies inside main hierarchy.
Also please see that Field Texture doesn't work.
C4D freeze after deleting VectronOP

I'm noticing when I change over to Aces Tone mapping.
I'm unable to change gamma values?
Is this a bug and need fixing?
Also if want to render out my aces tone mapped version just a straight 16bit Png. No AOVs or anything. What do I need to set in the render setting to get the same look as the live viewer?
Thanks,
Dean

My above post also applies to the highlight compression

ACES disable gamma and highlight compensation. To make it looks the same in C4D viewer you must change color settings in Project and Viewer :
But take in mind that all gradient nodes will produce different colors after that.
Aoktar - this is why people sometimes wants to use C4D OCIO.

Thanks for your feedback SSmolak.
In previous octane versions I was able to work in aces in the live viewer while still playing with highlight compensation and gamma. To art direct my specific look.
I'm currently using 2022.1.1 [R3]
Why would they go and disable this.
Aoktar - Please re-enable this feature as Aces has a great look but is very limiting with the use of highlight and gamma abilities
SSmolak - why is it that I can see the color management in my Cinema4D R25 or 2023? Can you be more specific to where I can find it in the Project and Viewer?
Many thanks,
Dean

Hey bud, with aces u dont need highlight compression. But I agree yes, we need more color correction controls and core devs are aware of that and its coming over the next versions afaik. Cheers
