Is there any update to this? EXR's are currently broken with the color space as Stuart mentioned, reverting to linear regardless of settings on render. The previous version didnt have this issue :)

I updated to this version for the denoiser fix, but unfortunately still cant render due to this exr bug.

Hi, it seems that you have shared the Python log... please, open a scene, then go to c4doctane Settings/Other tab, and, at the bottom of the panel, enable all the Log option checkboxes. Then, load the scene in Live View, then in Picture Viewer, or until crash, then reopen c4d, navigate to c4doctane Settings/Other tab, press the Generate log report button, and share the octanelog_report.zip file, thanks.

ciao Beppe

Hello Ahmet,

Thanks for the updates!
Could you please check that the ground color and ground start angle work as intended in the latest version? They dont work in mine. Octane model has no ground, and in the other models the color works, but not the start angle.

Thanx for your work.

Konstantinos.

Actually fixed it but waiting for a better sdk with less issues.

I'm planning on doing a fresh windows install soon after I get my ECC ram(going for maximum stability this time)... Would this be a good version to use with R21 as far as stability goes? And any recommendation as to what Nvidia driver / Windows version to use?

Not sure if this is going to be helpful but I find it pretty random as to what combination of things will work. I have a Xeon build with ECC RAM and some versions just crash more often than others. Same goes for drivers. Personally, once I find a version that just works (R6 it is right now and 442.92 driver version) I just stick to it. Once the really useful version updates come through then that is the time I start experimenting.

I don't want this to come off as too negative as I like the software and I'm sure the team is rocking it but I do want to be honest. I do think that things are getting more stable lately so thats also important to note. :)

nejck- That's good to know, thank you! I'm new to the whole 3D world so it's a bit different with the software cycles, but your system sounds good to me. I'll start with the current release since it was stable on R21 of c4d and just install S22 for uv unwrapping lol

I noticed the Nvidia 442.92 driver is from April so that doesn't have the new Windows GPU scheduling feature, but since that's a big change I too would be cautious about it. I'm also planning on upgrading to Windows Pro on my fresh install so I can remove the automatic updates... Just deciding if I should find an older version before the GPU scheduling change (I guess I could keep it turned off too...). Sorry for the non-plugin related talk :(

Thanks for the reply Aoktar :) I know its always tricky to estimate these sorts of questions, but is there a rough release date for that? Just planning renders...
