Running r16 with v. 2.06.1
weird. This info is not enough to do check, sorry. It's working well here. I can check it, if you could give more spesific info, bugreport, scenes.

I'm trying to place objects into a scene that was shot with a camera using C4D's camera tracker and I was wondering if there was a way to get the Background object to appear in Octane so I can see the footage?

i wrote that one message earlier. Also check sample scenes.
Compositing over a background is possible. Just create a background object with c4d material. put a texture to diffuse.

Hello Beppe !!
I have a problem with my hair ... not only in reality but also in rendering now !!
When I use the Octane renderer images you do not see one single hair, even if I try everything. (While in live viewer only guidelines appear well .... I think if I do "generated spilane" I can perfectly render the hair ... but always in the live viewer). I hope you can give me a hand ... I thought that someone else had this problem and expect you to solve it for me! But ... it seems I'm the first

hi,
here is a screenshot from an example scene provided by aoktar in the first post of this discussion:
as you can see, the guides numbers correspond at what you see in the live view, while the hairs numbers are relative to the picture viewer

p.s. in reality, i have very few hairs to play with

Hello! I encountered a small problem nell'attribute editor of the materials, particularly in the displacement channel
I can not load the texture in the channel, nothing happens.
the problem does not arise simply by using the node graph.
sorry for my terrible english: D

Hello,
if you drag the lower right corner of a node (resizing node in node editor) above the the nodes top border it breaks it (makes it impossible to fix/select/delete) same thing by dragging it left beyond the nodes left border.

Hi,
you can't connect any node except a
Displacement node to displacement slot. I hope that helps to you
