I have now started using Octane C4d in production rendering and medical simulation. One question: It seams to update the meshes and materials inbetween every frame whether the boxes in the render options are checked or not. Checking them seams to make no difference. Is this a problem for anybody else?

Nice to see:)
Materials will be updated correctly on any changes, also lights, camera, environments.
Also plugin support geometry updates, but actually only can keep polygon object synchronisation. Generated/modified objects can lost own id's. Next updates will be corrected.
i'm updating manual

Hi aoktar:
Found a small Bug:
Description:
When I start a final render in the Picture Viewer and abort the rendering during export or voxilisation of the scene (before I see the picture building up in the viewer) C4D crashes!
As soon as I see the picture in the Picture Viewer I can cancel the rendering normally.
Just wanted to let you know
Cheers,
Silverwing

Silverwing, many thanks. Exporting has a bug as you say. Because not check break for closing. I have noted.

Cool!
Hairs: 600'000, 12 pts.
Trees: 100 clones, 41'300 polys each.
PT, 16, 2048 samples in 1 hour on a GTX 590 - 3Gb total vram.
I have to say that live view doesn't render hair... I can render hair only by hitting the render button. Is this a bug?

nice try:) hair is done with instance? I'm not sure about live view. But normally can render instances, there is no different between Render View.
Need to check

I noticed a little memory problem, the RAM don't seems to decrease when we close the plugin or the document after a render.
After some hours at working on a project with the plugin opened, the used RAM gradually increase to the limit and finally block C4D. The project is not particulary heavy (115 Mb of VRAM).

I'm doing many tests for similar problems. I hope next release will be more solid.
