If color correction node is connected to OctaneSky texture there is no way to rotate it by using Octane Sky tag or even OctaneSky object.

When color correction is connected, the image rotation must be controlled via "TRANFORM" node.SSmolak wrote:If color correction node is connected to OctaneSky texture there is no way to rotate it by using Octane Sky tag or even OctaneSky object.
Some of your posts are actually known and described issues or limitations. This feature is up to plugin and just works if you put ImageTexture without insert anything between UI and nodeSSmolak wrote:If color correction node is connected to OctaneSky texture there is no way to rotate it by using Octane Sky tag or even OctaneSky object.
Emptying the CacheTex helps. Could there be an option to empty Cachetex every time C4D is opened?aoktar wrote:Several reasons may cause this.Kalua wrote:This .gif shows a behavior I get from Octane rather often (2, 3 times per day). Didn't start with this build, maybe it even started on 2020, can't recall exactly.
I didn't post it before because I couldn't recreate it every time. With this file I can reproduce it more easily. It may happen with, small, simple or complex, huge files/scenes.
First liveview session works ok. Second or third,... may result in C4D freezing or result in Windows telling me C4D must close due to some error. This is probably the most annoying bug I get from this software since 2020/2021.
Regards,
Driver issues, unsufficient RAM/VRAM, cached textures, multi-threaded material creation, using some C4D shaders(layer/etc...). Also delete oct.dat in prefs folder and delete texture caches.
You have to find the reason by deleting some parts until crashes gone and report it.
Yes it works that way but losing sync with OctaneDayLight after thatKalua wrote:When color correction is connected, the image rotation must be controlled via "TRANFORM" node.SSmolak wrote:If color correction node is connected to OctaneSky texture there is no way to rotate it by using Octane Sky tag or even OctaneSky object.
With Color Correction, the Daylight rotation becomes useless...SSmolak wrote:Yes it works that way but losing sync with OctaneDayLight after thatKalua wrote:When color correction is connected, the image rotation must be controlled via "TRANFORM" node.SSmolak wrote:If color correction node is connected to OctaneSky texture there is no way to rotate it by using Octane Sky tag or even OctaneSky object.
Thanks to Composite AOV color correction and mixing with Beauty it can be easily done without losing Octane Sky & Daylight sync.Kalua wrote: With Color Correction, the Daylight rotation becomes useless...
Sorry what kind of synchronization are you talking about that I'm not aware of?Kalua wrote:With Color Correction, the Daylight rotation becomes useless...SSmolak wrote: Yes it works that way but losing sync with OctaneDayLight after that
If we have HDR sun rotated to position of OctaneDayLight sun grouping them together makes that they stay with sync while rotating OctaneSky- it is described in manual too. But adding node between HDR and OctaneSky input cause that rotating not include HDR image rotating as was described before.aoktar wrote:Sorry what kind of synchronization are you talking about that I'm not aware of?Kalua wrote:With Color Correction, the Daylight rotation becomes useless...SSmolak wrote: Yes it works that way but losing sync with OctaneDayLight after that
