Hi,
the nested dieletric option should be used when you have a Specular material inside another Specular material, and you should change the Prioriry value in the Common tab as explained here:
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=76901
But in your scene, there is not a Specular inside another Specular, but a Specular on top of another Specular, so the Nested Dielectic option should not be used, isen’t it?

Hey Beppe,
I am not using nested dielectrics are on by default.
On top of that add an icecube with some bubbles in this scene. Then what happens? SSS ruined or icecube works correct?
Could u elaborate on this scenario im describing? Suposedly when everything on same priority this thing shouldnt happen
I dont understand why u change priorities on the materials here. Could u explain? Its already buggy since values over 100 are not used anyways

Even if i set the priority to 1 on all or some materials, the issue is still there (R20).

Hi,
the Priority value has been already fixed and will be part of the next 2020.2-R2 update.
About the specific scene, we use thre same settings like in Standalone, and your scene is reacting in the same way also there:

Since it is how the core 2020.2 engine is working, it is something that you cannot control from plugin side.
Nested Dielectric is a new feature, so better to ask to the core devs about usage and behavior.

I can Confirm with SSmolak. When I have "USe Octane for OGL Previews" checked - my colors or textures do not update on my objects in the Viewports. Only when it is unchecked , the changed textures and colors are visible in the viewports. It seems to work only one time but if you switch to 3rd texture or color it doesn't work.
