This is awkward, I just ran the updated installer and am getting the same error.face_off wrote:Thanks - I have updated the STUDIO installer to fix this problem.

I just downloaded the installer from the link at the top of this thread, and it installed correctly. I suggest re-downloading and trying again. If that does not work, run the installer as Administrator. This is awkward, I just ran the updated installer and am getting the same error.
The only explanation I can think of is that your Nvidia drivers are out of date (or not installed at all), so the authentication application is not loading.Sorel wrote:Hey Paul
Thank you for trying to help assist me in this. I downloaded the updated installer again and ran as admin but it is still returning the same error.
I just updated to the most recent drivers, my last drivers were from january of this year. Ran the installer again, same thing. I did load up daz and the plugin seems to work fine though. I was able to load the live DB, it rendered, everything I did before seems to work. what exactly is the octaneacm.exe for?face_off wrote:The only explanation I can think of is that your Nvidia drivers are out of date (or not installed at all), so the authentication application is not loading.
