Without rendering active?

All this was recorded without Liveview window opened.

Also: in R20 we have similar issues with MIX material.

EDIT: it also happens in 4.05-R3

Im getting seemingly more crashing in R21 using the updated build from yesterday (2018.1.3 R2)

As a point of reference I was previously using R18, same build as above.

Even with a single cube in the scene scrubbing a daylight around, I am finding the LV to not refresh updates, lag behind, crash, and just feel more clunky/unstable than usual.

Im on a brand new machine, 4 x 2080ti's, latest nvidia drivers through geforce experience.

Any ideas? Or is this just growing pains and further optimization will come soon....

Ps. As this is my first post in some time, I just want to thank you for the amazing work you do! :)

It's not possible to be less stable. Especially say it's happening in simple scenes. What's your driver version?

So far things are working great in R21! I do have an issue with the materials not previewing in the C4D viewport. I working on a project that was started in R20. Only some textures are previewing while everything shows as white. A work around I've found is to double click on each shader in the Material Editor window, somehow that loads them up in the viewport. But even when I get them to show in the viewport everything still comes out as white when I try to use the "Make Preview" option. Would be nice to have fixed in some update.

Thanks!

Also one other thing in regards to Scatter. Scaling objects that are a child of the scatter object now simultaneously re seeds at every value change (the seed number stays the same but you’ll notice the clones jumping around)

I assume this isn’t intentional. Being able to scale and the positions stay the same is essential :)

Be sure opengl and material previews are enabled. Also post a screenshot from settings/other. Use latest studio driver, not 436.xx

Even on studio driver, the LV lags and fails to update. For example, I scrub the 'North Offset' of a daylight around a cube, it will be streaming the updates as usual while im adjusting, but on mouse release it doesnt render. It just freezes, but I think its a visual bug (however it has crashed me). Once I adjust the size of the window while its frozen, the rendered version shows itself.

Gif below. As you can see, the render only updates when the UI window changes (my curser is invisible, but you'll see what I mean :) )
