I cannot precisely reproduce the bugs.
Also I'm also having those crashes. Sometimes moving vertex while octane viewport is open, hiding the visibility of the layer manager.
deleting object.
Hope Karba can solve this. It gets anoying while working continiously.

I think I have the same issue as "REC" reported, I´m working in a big project and I get Max crashes when cloning my movable proxies, as high poly chairs, lamps, tables, etc. I think that most of the times it crashes when I maximize a viewport or minimize it, but also when just moving an object or deleting it.
I´m using 3DsMax 2012 and 1.12. and I don´t remember having this issue when using 1.11.
Thank you very much.
Everybody, who has similar crash with movable proxy, please write you system specification (what 3dsmax version do you use 2010,2011,2012,2013 32/64, and what GPU do you use).
I still can't reproduce this bug, unfortunately.

I have 2 Machines. Both use 3D Studio MAX 2013. One has several Plugins installed like Craft i.e. and others. The Other machine is pure with max only using sr6 update on both machines.
Gpu driver is 314.22
Machine 1 and 2 both use i7 920 cpu with the same gigabyte motherboard!
Machine1: 1: GTX660 TI
2: GTX 670
3: GTX 650
Machine2: 1: GTX 670
2: GTX 570
3: GT 640
Went back to 1.11c now. 1.12 crashes all the time!
If you want i can make a quick video. It especially likes to crash when you use octane lights like a sphere or a plane.
Kind regards Chris!

I mixed two glossy materials, one white, the other one black. The mask was a single large dot (float image) to simulate a pattern of circular holes (dot black, background white).
see my latest post:
http://render.otoy.com/forum/download/f ... &mode=view
on the ceiling you see the right result rendered well with 1.11c (titans, 680s, 580s)
the 1.12 ignore the mask

In my case, as I commented, I'm using 3DsMax 2012 64 bits and using the gigabyte GTX 670 4GB OC for rendering and the GTX 480 just for display. I've installed today the latest official drivers from NVIDIA but nothing changed.
Thank you Karba
