It worked before flawlessly in 2020.1.3 but now, the slaves are constantly hanging and the whole rendering stops, waiting for the slaves. Last night I had a 6 hour rendering running on 3 machines and it stand still for 5 hours. I updated to the newest studio driver to solve it but no success.
Wouldn’t it be possible to integrate something like a time-out for the slaves, so the master will continue rendering when a slave stucks? Ideally the slave restarts automatically and continues its work until he hangs again. Such a feature would have saved me a lot of precious time.

Thanks
i confirm it, but it happened to me from time to time with version 2020.1

Hello, Aoktar!

I'm have trouble using ACES with denoiser.
I press on "use denoised beauty" but it doesn't apply in the file.

Can you help specifying what should i do to get denoised beauty in ACES file(using ACES filename)

I have to confirm that this version's network is unreliable. Slaves do join or not join on their own will :) I never had this before.

Hi,
I have seen some glitches with Net render in 2020.1.4, but I was not able to find a pattern or to reproduce the issue with a specific scene.
Yesterday I have tried to do some stress tests the whole day, but for the Murphy's law, the Slaves have worked perfectly in all the conditions

If you find a scene that gives issue with net render at 100%, please save the project with assets, compress the resulting folder, and share it with me via Private Message.
It will be extremelly useful to the devs for identifying and fixing the issue, thanks.

ciao Beppe

I have to say, this version gives me lot of random crashes. New Win 10, latest Drivers and S22 release. The only reproduceable crash happens with right click inside the live viewer and then "select object". :/
Sorry I can't provide any project files but as I said... it just happens randomly and simple things.

you can share a few bugreports. Crash with "select object" is known.

Thanks for the hint, I‘ll try to collect some reports of further crashes. :)

Hello,
Cryptomatte object node doesnt work in AE. Shows a single white selection for all objects, and color is missing.
I saw some tuts where it was behaving proper and not how i describe it.
Steps to reproduce:
- import in AE and use cryptomatte effect
- Its black with no color information and only if u click on it, selects all object but not one by one.

I'll jump in as a fellow user and perhaps my experience will help. I thought crypto matte wasn't working but it was because I wasn't doing it right. I was using the wrong file output. You have to be sure to select your extra passes within the Octane tab - not the c4d native render pass tab. AND you must output with the file type: Octane EXR.
