Don't know if this has been brought up but everytime I import a material from the LiveDB - the Live DB closes. So If I'm trying to import a bunch of materials this becomes very tedious. I have to keep re-opening up the Live DB, not only that but you start navigation again from the root folder of the DB and not where you last were.

Static animation frames (\render output\save file as\ *.jpg) aside from first frame saving out black/blank with 2016.

Not sure if this is intentional/by design, but I recall in previous versions it kept the render window with the last static image processed than saved that out across frames.

It's an easy enough work-around in post but thought I'd mention it. Aside from that and a lack of a maxscript material converter (old to new settings), it's great.

+1 - LiveDB should be more flexible - it's great that you implemented the localDB feature - also downloading of a section of materials would also prove useful, since you don't have to load textures if you already have them sometimes it takes like half a minute to load a material
- and searching by tags, usernames, etc would be a plus

octan 3.0 === ( because competitors are catching up ( Vray 3.0 + redshift )/ Dear developers. It is necessary to modify not only the rendering process but the ease of working with him in the program 3D max...

caustic soda is very slow for animation ( I need a fake caustic ) I can work with static images PMC caustic delightful. But what do I do when animating jewelry ( I'm waiting for 3-15 minutes at 1 frame) is unprofitable.

it turns out that I caustic or need to separately consider using Vray or via i-ray////

and here's what happened on the optimal speed of the render.
1. Jewelry animation (Vray) (want Octan long but caustic soda)
2 Jewelry statics (Octan)
3. The interior is simple ( the sun is a floor lamp pair of lamps ) Octan ( super fast )
4. The interior is complex ( lots of light ) storefront a lot of light inside the glass (Corona) ( problem on my octane - can't set up multilevel lighting group so it would look good if there is a lesson post a link)
5. Object Studio (Octan) o I love octane -

.......... but you have to work a little, or that he would become a universal render
