I was just about to go down the Hackintosh route with our 12-core Xeon (which I bought in July to make a VFX heavy commercial happen), but this has me wanting to trade it in for a 'trash can' and some other bits!

You wouldn't have happened to test out CC 2014 or DaVinci with this setup as well, have you?

This video is great but the same process does not produce the same results on my 2014 MBPr w/ GT 750M + Titan Z. I am still getting the 1 Titan Z & 1 NVIDIA Web Driver in the System Report

I am curious, if you visit the Extensions section in your System Report and view the info for NVDAStartup, What does it say? Can you post a screenshot of that? I am assuming it's acceptable for the driver to not be signed or loadable as long as it's status is Loaded: Yes. This is what the developer sudo command is for.

I'm installing a Boot Camp Win 8.1 now to test my card and make sure it is not faulty.

Also, I noticed the video at 9:12 has this title that refers to Mavericks. Is this a typo or am I missing something? Thanks again Jose!

I have not been able to get my Titan Z running at 100% quite yet but I have used it and a GTX 780 eGPU setup in CC 2014 both AE and Premiere. It works awesome. Haven't used in Resolve but it should run great as well.

Are you using a riser or you connecting straight to the AKiTiO. I have your problem when I connect straight to the Akitio. Try the riser.

I just set up a Macbook pro mid 2013 with Thunderbolt 2 and I connect 2 Titan Z using thunderbolt daisy chain.

Mac Thunderbolt 1 can hold 1 TITAN Z
Mac Thunderbolt 2 can hold 2 TITAN Z

Good to know. I actually tried it both ways. I have tried every configuration I can think of with what I have. I did notice your riser has the extra wires. Mine has 1 Yellow wire only. Might be helpful to post that link to the riser you're using on the video page because it is seeming like an important part of getting the Titan Z operating in full. For now, I went ahead and returned my Z and put in a reg Titan. I will be ordering one of those risers and seeing what I get. Thanks for the info man!

Have you compared benchmarks with 2 internal Titan Zs or tested daisy chaining different GPU models together? It would be interesting to know if there are any issues that arise with that. I'm just going to throw this out there... it sounds like you've got the hardware available to find the ultimate Octane eGPU setup. Of course 2 Titan Zs sounds about perfect but if say 3 reg Titans daisy chained is faster than 2 Titan Zs, that would be some good information. Just throwing this out there.

Kit 1: Akitio ($250) + power supply ($100) + reg Titan ($650 refurbished from Newegg) = $1000
Kit 2: Akitio ($250) + power supply ($100) + Titan Black ($1050) = $1400
Kit 3: Akitio ($250) + power supply ($100) + Titan Z ($1550) = $1900
