I see that this crash happens in mesh voxelisation function of Octane engine. There is something that the engine does not like...
Can you please enable the Octane verbose mode and look at the mesh that causes this crash (in verbose log) - is it the same mesh, or always the different meshes? If it is the same - perhaps you can localize what is the reason in the mesh settings?..

ok. i just don't completely understand how the verbose mode works. i thought it gives feedback trough the command line/script editor. because when i turn it on, i just get my normal maya batch feedback and a render complete message as soon as it fails. does it store a separate crash file somewhere?
also, why does it happen so randomly? my meshes stay pretty much the same in every frame (i just got some translate animation on them).
but anyway, thanks for the help so far.

If it happens on different frames and sometimes the same frame crashes and sometimes is rendering correctly - the problem is more complex, and I need the scene to try to reproduce it... As I see from your dumps, the problem is somewhere inside the engine, not in the plugin itself, but I can check if the hardware has some impact on these crashes...
If your scene is not under NDA, can you please send it to me?

unfortunately the content of the scene is convinced. i just had a friend write me a small script that let's me render sequences without using the batch render plugin (it just renders into the render view windoe and then saves the image). that seems to work for now. thanks for the help.

Please, if someone who had the authorisation problems described in this thread, still has them with
NEW 1.11a VERSION - post about it here.
I'd like to know if this problem still exists in the new
1.11 engine...

Hi JimStar,
I hadn't been checking this thread for a bit, in hopes for a fix. Now that it seems you might have it nailed down, I'll download the newest version when I get home from work today and let you know if I still have the authorization errors or not.
Here's to hoping.

Thank you JimStar!
