Octane 3D Max plugin is not working but the standalone is. Inside 3D max all I get is an empty black render with no geometry loaded. The render setup however recognizes the 480 as a CUDA device. Why is it that the standalone has no issues to render but the 3D Max plugin cant do anything?

Edit: Also using max 2013 and 480 gtx + radeon 6780. W7 too.

I tested with Radeon 6870 and 5400. Both have the same issue, yet with both the standalone is working fine. Is this a bug or a feature of 3D max plugin? Anyway I'm planning to get a GTX 580 to run with pair with my 480 so it wont be an issue long. Anyway I just think that if this is in fact a reality with radeon cards I suggest putting it in writing somewhere before anyone wastes their money.

Can you show your GPU dialog in 3dsmax?freelancah wrote:Yeah, the intention was to reduce load from all my monitors and have some power to run other applications while the Gforce was rendering
Are you sure plugin see GTX480 when Radeon is installed?freelancah wrote:No I cant atm. I removed the cards since I have a deadline job that I have to finish before monday.. I can test after that probably.
Edit: Well actually I can, because it looks the same with or without the Radeon..Here it is. It looks like this with both cards, just doesn't seem to render.
