Right. Scatter is way much faster than Cloner ( especially with Push effector ). Cloner needs near 10 seconds to preprocessing while Scatter do it within 1-2 seconds. This is true using Octane LiveViewer. But in normal rendering preprocessing time is near the same for Scatter and Cloner.
Main purpose of scatter object that to offer much faster work on clones. You are using LV much more during works.
Also It's not possible! Probably comparing it wrong or missing something. There are different parts like prepare data/transfer it and calculate the render. You have to check all these seperately. Also share your example if you can't do that. Let's see

Ok this is not important. You did great job that Scatter update within max 2 seconds even using "keep away" feature while Cloner needs 10 seconds. Sorry to bother you. Rendering preprocessing time is not as important.
