I receive same error on 2015 from a user account on a local server. Please allow custom temp directory.

Hello, might I suggest watching my quick video on this matter - figured it was easier show than explain how I was able to overcome this bug. Made with Version: 0.13.82 - and that is
key. The latest updates aren't stable enough for use in daily work.

as you can se the folder does exist (see attached image).
but in my system it is named:
\\tmsrv1\users$\brj\Octane\SketchUp\temp\su_textures
the path sketchup uses is:
////tmsrv1/users$/brj/octane/sketchup/temp/su_textures/
this gives an error
I have tried to test the paths with my file manager (servant salamander)
if i paste "\\tmsrv1\users$\brj\octane\sketchup\temp\su_textures\" into my file manager the folder is found
if i paste "//tmsrv1/users$/brj/octane/sketchup/temp/su_textures/" into my file manager the folder is found
if i paste "////tmsrv1/users$/brj/octane/sketchup/temp/su_textures/" into my file manager the folder is not found
so this seems to be the problem? "////tmsrv1/users$/brj/octane/sketchup/temp/su_textures/"
could this somehow be fixed or tested?
thanks
