While this is very cool I wonder: why do poser works nearly never look real (apart from always being way to perfectly shaped)? Is it the somewhat too flat eyes without a realistic lens? Is it the usually hand drawn skin, that despite all the pores etc never comes across as properly textured?

I converted Daz UV map in Quixel to various different maps (normal, diffuse, displacement..). Then tweaked the face texture also, added some blush to cheaks..

Here“s what I came up with.. Not real yet, but, getting close. Most important, imo, is the light and camera setups.

I work with the Octane Render for DAZ Studio. How can I do this in DAZ? The material editor is different.

Sorry Veneris, but I not use the plugin. I tried at first, but I did not clarify me. I found more information on the web about the standalone version and left the plugin...

Has this skin texture been deleted from the live database? I can only find one titled "D.Ordiales - Skin V6" not "D.Ordiales - Skin V6 II" as in your screenshots.

Hibingo,

Check that your version of Octane is 2.16.

First, a big THANK YOU A LOT to DOrdiales.

Your posts helped me a lot. Especially the examples on page 3 with the sphere are very illustrative to understand how transmission, absorption and scattering work.

At first I did not spot it as well.

What helped me was to move the border of the live db pane so all material names are written in full lenght.

I recommend using Daz only to posing and animating. Build the actual image with octane standalone.

I'm glad. I regret not having a better level of English to express myself better in writing ...
