Thanks a bunch for the heads-up t_3.
Certainly appreciate the hard work you're putting into this.

Thanks for the update. If the goal was just to skip past 1.5 that works for me, if it gets us caught up. If I had not bit the bullet and upgraded to 2.0, then I would have been annoyed if 1.5 got skipped.

Good to know my mats will work in the future. I've got so many stored up that I've been waiting to save to a library.

I'm still using 1.1 and getting the daily reminder to upgrade, No sir!. Hopefully 2.0 plugin will work with geographs better. 1.1 had its issues but 1.2 is even worse :(

I don't copy that, only one guy is responsible for the whole development of this plugin!?
Is there nobody who's be able to help him out?
Everywhere romp out alleged experts, but when it comes down to it, nobody one is available! :x
Had I been better informed, the Poser plugin were be the better choice...

There were two people involved in the development but then the one who did the coding was unable to continue which left t_3 to take up that role. Since then we've had a 1.2 update so the plugin is being developed but at a slower pace. I know it's frustrating but eventually we will have v2. I wish I knew when but I don't doubt that it will arrive at some point.

It would be allready helpful to have an "export whole scene as ocs-file" option. Then everything could be done in the octane2 core-programm.

I have to second the motion. Once the scene is exported with the right geometry and camera settings, we could easily work in Octane2. AFAIK, the option to export the scene should be available, perhaps with the next version, whenever it will be made available.

It's my understanding that it's not possible to export a DS scene to any 3rd party renderer atm, which is why the plugin was developed so that it can render the scene in DS. This limitation is a DS one not an Octane one. If it was possible I'd assume that OTOY would have tried to implement this feature for DS and other 3D software in the standalone. I think the problem is that there isn't a universal format that every 3D software uses nor does every 3D software export all information in a scene in a single format. I hope I'm proved wrong but I doubt that it will ever be possible to export whole DS scenes into 3rd party renderers.
