If I want to edit a material and switch to material mix, both materials are diffuse.
If I want to change one of them to something else, the following error shows up:
I have had a few reports of this error and am working on it. I will post back here once I have more info.

I think I have been able to fix this. Can you pls try the version in the TEST thread (http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 13#p182613) 1.52.0.28, and let me know if it resolves your problem.

Just installed and tested it.

edit:
When I do something like selecting material mix, I can at least change the diffuse nodes. But there are a lot of nodes like bump, normal etc, which are not connected and I can't change these.

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Program Files\Smith Micro\Poser Pro 2014\Runtime\Python\addons\OctaneRender for Poser\Node.py", line 1471, in <lambda>

File "C:\Program Files\Smith Micro\Poser Pro 2014\Runtime\Python\addons\OctaneRender for Poser\Node.py", line 445, in ChangeNodeType
TypeError: hex() argument can't be converted to hex

when I load older material settings, I can edit them, but it seems that the new created standart settings for a new node (diffuse, glossy, etc) is making these problems

There may be a problem with the names.
When I load a material, where there is a greyscale value to 0 (so it doesn't affect anything), I can click on "Disconect", it switches it's name to "Not connected", also in the list the name changed.
I can still change it to anything else.
But if I copy that material with this now "not connected" node, and paste it to another object, I can't change the "Not connected" node again.

Occasional, non-repeatable crash. Always crashes when Octane is rendering. Cuda.Log was empty (0kb w/ no text) so I didn't upload that.

Windows 7 64bit
Ram 24GB
GTX 780 Ti-3072MB/GTX 470-1280MB
Nvidia Geforce 335.23 driver version
Poser Version: 10.03.26510
Octane Plugin version 1.50

It is incredibly rare for Poser to crash whilst rendering in Octane. The only reason I can think of is that one of your rendering cards has failed, or has overheated. Have you tried monitoring your card temperatures with GPU-Z?

Yeah your right. Throttled down the video cards so they don't run quiet as hot and everything seems fine now. Thanks!

What are the most important stats of a video card in regards to Octane rendering speed, Cuda cores, clock speed, fill rate...?

I'm the wrong person to ask on this - but probably cores (but you cannot compare number of core between the 500 and 600 series for example. There is a "benchmark" thread comparing the cards somewhere on this forum which might help too.

hey Paul is there a way to set all node to diffuse at once. Or do i have to do them one by one.
