Hi all, especially NinjaJuan ;) I am not seeing HDRLS at all in Octane - using both software's most recent builds bought at the start of this week - and no previous versions of either installed. WIN7 - 64bit - GTX780 (CUDA) - K2000 (Display) Driver 337.88.

I am new to Octane so it's probably something obvious - I've applied simple Octane surfaces to a Sphere and Ground plane so nothing fancy. HDRLS is in the LW Environment texture dialogue but Octane doesn't seem to see it at all. Touching HDRLS window doesn't do anything, I just get greyness.

Works fine in VPR with LW surfaces.

Any help would be appreciated.

Any plans for HDR Light Studio and Octane inside Maya?

You need to first enable the Octane plugin and later enable HDRLS, in this order. Can you please test it with a new scene?

Hi Juanjo, that works. Thanks. Also works on reloading the scene.

I have another issue now though, I just installed the daily build version before your reply thinking that would probably fix it, fired it up and got an API error message + LW crash/hangs on closing.

Rolled back the Octane build when you replied and now there's no error message but still crash hangs on closing... I think Ive just created the problem, do you know of a fix? Sorry fella, I'm sure you are busy enough!

Cheers
Paul

Have you updated the Octane.dll and Octane.dat files in your LW/bin folder? ... you need the .p plugin file and the Octane files from the same .zip install file.

I have just updated everything, removed the Octane Master plugin, added the new one. Closing LW it completely freezes and hangs.

And without HDRLS (a new scene with only the Octane plugin enabled) you also get this crash?

Nothing enabled - just opening LW and closing it.
