anifex3D Thanks!
If I understand this right now: It saves out to:
expose: 1
fstop: 1
asa: 64
gamma: 1
no matter what is your exposure or asa or fstop.
the vinietting is still applied though.
in 1.25 I belive it was saved to gamma: 1, but the other values where the same?
One thing I noticed though is,(if I´m not wrong) that the tone mapped output is comming out as float and not clamped

edit: I waa wrong about the tone mapped output; It´s still truncated..

Karba,
Can you please, please please, and one last time PRETTY PLEASE add the background image feature to the octane viewport, like in standalone? This is an essential feature for anyone doing fx work. I need to match my lighting and DOF to the background plate footage.
It's really tedious going back and forth between After Effects and Max to adjust and re-render and this would be a workflow lifesaver!
This is a feature that as far as I know does not require on you waiting for it to be implemented into the core, it's already there.

You have to use the same scene for a speed comparison.
