Thanks Paul ...
That will help a lot. I think I can handle it; I hope.

Hi Everyone.
The plugin has been listed on the Rhino Resources page. If you have a moment - it would be great if you could leave a review! Thanks.
http://www.rhino3d.com/resources/?id=8290
I will improve the content of the page in the next couple of weeks and add some images.

Hi Paul ...
I went to the site to post a quick, preliminary review but did not see how to post one.
I still have not had enough time to learn much about using this but what I can do is exciting. I expect that Octane will be my primary render tool.
cheers,
eric

Good point Eric - I couldn't work out how to post a review either!

I have refreshed the installer at the top of this thread with the following:
1.32.0.9
- Compiled against Octane 1.32
- Added option to export to ORBX format (this packages the OCS file and texturemaps, and can be loaded into Octane Standalone)
- Added clay render modes (new button on the Viewport window)
- Fixed issue where transmap texture maps in Octane materials were not being applied in the Rhino preview window
- Improved the conversion of Rhino material texturemap scale and rotations to Octane materials, and vise-versa. Note - the Octane Preview window will show the scale of an Octane texturemap, but not any rotation that has been applied.
- Fixed issue where texturemap filenames with special characters were not loading
* There is an outstanding issue where changing Rhino materials is sometimes not picked up by the Octane Viewport (until you Refresh) - and this is waiting on a fix in Rhino SR8 to resolve.

Hi Paul ...
Just a quick note to say how pleased I am with Octane Render. I had time for a few learning hours this past weekend and with your great help managed to get through some apparent but illusory brick walls. I have only done some quick and dirty mock up models but Octane is performing brilliantly (both in speed and quality).
Thanks for your quick responses and guidance.

I have refreshed the installer at the top of this thread. This is a CRITICAL UPDATE if you have installed 1.32.0.9.
1.32.0.10
- Fixed issue where the LiveDb window would sometimes get stuck under the Material panel
- Fixed issue where the "Plugin not authenticated" message would be displayed under all other windows.
- FIXED SERIOUS ISSUE INTRODUCED WITH 1.32.0.9 - where texturemap filenames where being corrupted due to the "special characters" fix. This was resulting in "You do not have read access to that folder" warnings and XML errors loading files saved with 1.32.0.9. This releases fixed this issue, but you should check files saved with the 1.32.0.9 version to ensure the texturemap filenames are correct.
My apologies for the filename problem in 1.32.0.9.

Even just try to do control + z to reach the state in which no clock was in the scene, and then I turned to import without converting materials to octane materials, and still giving me the same error ..

Hi Rock1ng.
I suspect there is a reference to a null instance in the scene (which the plugin needs to handle). Would it be possible to upload the scene to me pls? I will delete as soon as the problem is resolved. I will PM you.
Paul
