If I try to load a bitmap directly Cinema asks me if I want to copy the file to the scene location, but the file still doesn't load in the link box and I don't get any displacement. What am I missing?

Also, accessing the node window from Cinema freezes Cinema. I have to close the node window from the Windows quick-launch bar to get control back.
first put a displacement node and put texture to displacement node.
second, I know this issue about node window. node window is opening but it's not selected. you should switch with alt+tab or some other.

Ups, aoktar, bad mistake :)

Can you change please the spelling mistake state kind (Standart) in standard?

State kind (Standart) is absolutely wrong.

Thank you Rudi

c4d /octane 2.03 freezes

sorry for posting in wrong section!

But how should I add a bugreport, when no bugreport is created.

All I can say is that c4d freezes and does no more react to any input.
When opening taskmanager it says, that c4d is not responding and I have to quit
C4D with taskmanger. I really don't know, what else I can tell you about that!

(Its a hugh scene and a current project which I cannot upload.)

The other thing is, that octane 2.03 does not remember rendersettings in saved file.
I set "Full Motion Blur" and save. After reopening saved scene Motion Blur is set
to "Camera Motion Blur".

Again, what else should I tell you. No bugreport is created.
I just want to inform you, whats happening.

regards
Mike

Mike, is it crashing or freezeing on Animation Render? Is this as metioned by you as crashes? Do you have c4d's shaders? If so, set cpu cores=1.
Also you should check vram usage first, if it's only occuring on anim. rendering but not in Live Viewer. So check your render tesellation settings. And check again vram of gpus by a software. Also try 2.02 or 2.01.
That's all i can say.

Hi Ahmet,

yes, with crashing I mean freezing - sorry!

The freezing happens while or after rendering animation to PictureViewer.
Must say, that I use some image sequences of about 300 frames each and only way
for me to get that working right, is to use C4D Bitmaps.

So I should set "manual renderthreads" from C4D programm settings to "1"?
(Even if I'm not very happy to reduce my proudly 40 threads to only 1 ;) )

VRam usage seams o.k. Have 2 Titans and GPU-Z says, that about 1,7 Gig is used.

It seams to only occure on anim. rendering.
Where or how can I check tesselation, please?

thanks
Mike

if you have freeze on anim. rendering, i don't think it's a bug. %99 is a user problem. If you have hypernurbs, check render subdivisions. Are you checking vram while doing animation rendering? What's the triangle amount which is seen on Live Viewer?

Hi Ahmet,

only one HyperNurbs with SubD (Edito and Render) set to "1"

With LiveViewer eveythings seams o.k.
screen_3.JPG
So thats maybe my old problem with ImageSequences?

To save RAM I only load a few sequences (2 or 3) and after rendering
I delete/disable sequences and load new ones.

Btw. what do You think about render settings always jumping back
to "Camera Motion Blur"?

thanks
Mike

ok, i can't see a problem with imagesequences. Hard to tell something about freeze. Keep LV and octane windows are closed while rendering.
Also camera motion blur changing, it's not a problem. Even, i haven't see that before. Please try with a older version.

well, most important thing is, that rendering works!
Even if I have to restart after each render session.

Trying now with renderthreads set to "1"
But this will be fixed in near future?

thanks
Mike
