Just a heads up. We just installed R7 in order to fix the Compare line that disappeared in the R6 release and it is still missing in our Live viewer when activating Compare Render buffers. Not sure if we have to do something else, but there is no red line as it used to be in version R5 and before. We downgraded to the R5 release and the line works as intended.
We are on C4D R20 and latest windows 10 and Nvidia Studio Drivers.
Thanks for all the hard work. Otherwise the plugin works awesome

Hi Weirdpictures,
after enabling the AB Comparison, you also need to use the
Save Render Buffer command, since it is not stored automatically like before.
Then you will see the AB line, and use the Compare feature as before:

AO-Pass not rendering correct

Hi Ahmet,
this is my 2nd attempt to point out a problem with the AO-Pass when rendering EXR(Octane) Passes in C4D R21.
Its happening with all 2020-Versions of Octane (including R7). In Versions V4, 2018 and 2019 this error does not appear!
Its now happening in a completely new project and new scene. So its not Scene dependent.
All other passes incl. Cryptopass are rendering correct!
As you can see in the attached image: a big part in the AO-Pass is completely white
Ahmet,
you do not need to answer to my post, if you, for whatever reason, decided to ignore me.
But I would like to ask you very politely to check this out and hopefully release a R8 Version soon
with a fix for that bug!
regards
Mike

Is there any way to disable render and GPU stats in viewport rendering ? Disabling them works only in LiveViewer.

Hi Beppe,
thanks for your reply. Yes, we know that we need to save the render buffer, but it wont show up or give us the red line to compare between two images.
Here is a screen recording to show the problem. Again, all works perfect with the R5 release, but R6 and R7 have this problem for us.

Hi Mike,
are you using Network Rendering while calculating the AO pass?
If yes, it is not plugin related , we have found an issue in the general SDK that is already fixed, and will be included in the next SDK update:

Hi Beppe,
thanks for your reply!
You're right, I'm network rendering with one slave attached.
Indeed - without network rendering activated the AO-Pass renders correct.
Man, I tried all Octane Versions and all EXR Compression settings, but
I didn't try rendering without the slave!
So good to know, thats a known issue and will be fixed!
(btw. for everyone who doesn't know that yet: faulty cryptopass when using DWAA or DWAB
is an issue within C4D Version "R21" and not Octane related)
thanks Beppe!
