Hello,
Blend Angle in the triplanar map has no effect when using a single texture , please see attached file.
Im using texture displacement set as "high"
Hi remKa,
Using a single texture, it works with a "positive X" axis. The result is the same with the default Octane node mapping, in that case Blend angle can't work, basically, it’s like I’m using all six textures, but they’re identical.

Shouldn't the edges of the texture be blurred ? If not, could you add this option ?

Hi remKa,
I was taking another look at the triplanar in SA, and it should actually be possible to blend it the way you were asking.
I’ve sent my report over to the developers.

Hi remKa,
It was as I said the first time, it’s correct as it is, and there are no issues. It was just a dumb cognitive bias on my part. I assumed that by using a different UV projection, like a cube, the texture edges would be positioned differently along the six axes, even when using a single texture for all of them. So I expected to get blurred edges, but that’s not the case. The blend angle does work, but since all the textures are identical, its effect isn’t visible.

Hello Paride,
I've investigated as well, the problem was that I needed to put a triplanar projection inside the rgb image as well ! Blend angle works as expected
I have an issue though, triplanar does not work with displacement.
Second thing, in the C4D plugin there are "blur offset" and a "blur scale" options that are missing in 3ds max, please see at 6 min :

Sometimes octane viewport gets stuck at 1 when using focus picker

Hi Elvissuperstar007,
Could you clarify what changed between the first screenshot (which looks correct) and the one you’ve marked as incorrect?

I’m setting up a camera composition and centering the model in 3ds Max, but in the Octane live (dynamic) preview the object appears much higher. If I adjust and center it in the live preview, then in the scene viewport it ends up lower.
There is no synchronization between the camera/object positions in the viewport and the live render — they seem to be in different coordinates.
