Hey I'm using v4 2.1 since one week...
It's very very very cool!! and very stable version for only a béta test, good job!
The denoiser is very speed and confortable !
Just AI light not very speedest than classic lights, it's normally ?
Good work
(just for the history, with denoiser I can render preview for my client with my 1070 max-q laptop!)

is that in the latest release? i dont see the extra options
yes i know i can always use display colors in the emitter, but sometimes u need the extra channels do drive different parameters in the octane shader

like, use the display colors on the diffuse, and Life on the emission intensity etc
Please please please add "Life" to to the list!

I get a crash as soon as I click on render.
I have a 980 and a 1060ti with the lastest drivers.

Hi, I just wanted to try cinema4d and the plugin for v4, as I thought on jumping ship from 3ds max. I thought I read in the main v4 standalone thread that all the plugins would be free for all licensed users, but Octane license system is telling me otherwise. Am I mistaken about this? thank you

Hi, we are still in v3 phase, v4 is only at experimental build phase.
When v4 will be stable, the new licenses system will be applied, but for now, everything is working as before.
You need to export from Max to Standalone, to try v4 new features.
Anyway, first test version of v4 for Max should not be so far away, just a bit of more patience.

Hi,
if 3.08 demo is not enough, another option is to start a one month c4doctane subscription for 20$, you can cancell it the day after, in order to be able to try also v4 test versions for one month.
