I was thinking, shouldn't there be a 'standard' imager settings defined, under which people should create materials for the LiveDB - so that we get consistency across it? If you tweak your material under kodakchrome where it looks "just right", but the user renders with some different response curve, the end result could look very different. This is especially true for macros whose color parameters can't be changed from outside.

I tried to add this to the live db but I think their maybe a problem with the wood cat, I was able to upload a few plastics today but the wood ones wont show.

Also the forum admin may need to add the ocs file to the upload.

It might be a good idea yeah, however i would'nt enforce it as then people would need to start making modifications and rerender stuff...

can anyone see any items in organic/wood/ or organic/stone. Is there some kinda of server error?

I cant seem to upload to the organic live db and I don't see any items in there at all, radiance said there was a submission made for the starting post of this contest of which I cant see.

We found the issue, just don't use any ' characters in your material descriptions or any other fields.

We're repairing the damaged materials already submitting right now, so everything should be fixed soon.
