Strange. Today I rendered a small image and the Port to framebuffer button does not work.

After pressing some other buttons like Lock screen and resuming render it suddenly worked.

Another bug which occours only sometimes is a "merge-bug". it is not new and maybe it has to do with 3dsmax (v2014).

I merge some scenes using the drag and drop from windows explorer into the 3dsmax viewport and if the scene which I want to merge misses a texture or so sometimes 3dsmax crashes. Really strange.

Means that you are not going to fix it ,like Suvakas guessed, and one of the main features for the 2.0 Max plugin , is a big fat lie !
You also got the most arrogant and unpleasant way to tell that, making a topic , sugesting that everybody else but you shall feel responsible.

emihich Hi

Im sorry, but I don't think its fair that we talk like that about hair and fur, i mean Karba just tried to explain (and several times before) why he's having problems with std hair plug from max...and by the looks of it, its not because he doesn't want to fix it..but because he can't currently due to how the hair plug is designed...at least is how i understand it...

and in fact, at least with Hairfarm (and i think Ornatrix) all seems well, so it has to be because hair and fur is very problematic in this case.

Lets give him a break shall we?

I know its frustrating to expect a feature to work as we expect it to and doesnt.

Hi

I use Hairfarm and I love it..dont know how user friendly ornatrix in comparison.

With Hairfarm u can model the hair as if u were poly modeling ...verrrry nice.

Too bad is quite expensive in comparison

It is possible to get standard hairs in geometry mode like Iray and Corona are doing it. Please do your research. I know it's not a full hair primitive support, but it would be at least some sort of workaround for smaller scenes.

What is your workflow?
What hair and fur features do you use in IRay and Corona?
How do you assign materials and which ones?
