Thnx Bicket & Kevin!
Now someone at Otoy only needs to copy the magic forumula and implement it into the plugin.
Would also be great if the resolution stays the same and everything else but the region stays black...
Please?

I´m not sure if this is a bug or if it is deliberate change from 1.25 to 1.31: I noticed that when I render to .exr 16 bit half float it saves to different gamma. the 1.31 version is much darker. I have to upp the gamma to about 4, in post, to get it the same as the 1.25 version. And as it isn´t full float, the colors will crack..
could someone pleas confirm this?

I just tested some very heavy scenes (4.5gb of vram being used) with this release and the latest NVidia driver 334.89 and everything was stable. I am using a 2 monitor setup rendering on one monitor with 2 titan cards and then using a 3rd titan card shut off from rendering and the other monitor to work on and adjust materials in the slate editor that has hundreds of materials and everything is working great.

It´s definitely something wrong with the exposure/gamma with this version compared to earlier versions. I had to revert to 1.25.. this is in max 2014! dont know about 2013.

I just saved as an .exr 16 bit half float in 3ds max 2014 and I had no change in gamma vs the previous versions. Not sure what could be wrong.

Anifex3d: Did you uncheck apply tonemapping for output?

No - tone mapping was turned on. We typically do not work in the linear mode so I can not verify that. Sorry for the confusion.

Wow - something is definitely wrong with the tone mapping turned off. It is as you say about 4-5 times darker.
