I have refreshed the installer at the top of this thread with:
1.23.0.12
- Rendering is now paused at the end of each frame when rendering animations. This may assist resolving mesh tearing issues during rendering animations.
- Resolved issue that caused a crash when converting materials if "Convert Specular Maps" was ticked.

Ran script "Create emitter from current light" (thanks for that, btw), and got a Cuda error: Tried to access null node pin. The script itself reported "finished".
Also, the way the projection of HDRIs and photometric profile source images are handled is obscure to me. HDRIs are now so out of focus that it's hard to see if they're aligned correctly, and I can't make heads or tails of the photometric image projection. Can anyone help me out? :/
Edit: Never mind the HDRI thing, that was a "user too stupid" error on my part. I'm still confused about the photometric profile thing, though.

Well I'm really impressed I took a complex scene from poser, and exported it out to the stand-alone version of octane render and it works perfectly with out any problem.
Want to congratulate on this achievement thank you

Yo... where did you find the option to export the scene... right click over something, script somewhere... save as anywhere... I can't find a thing to do it... guess I'm finally blind.

On the settings TAB right click come up with menu export as oCS
you also need version 1.23 running stand alone

That would explain everything... trouble is... from downloads of my account, only 1.20 of Octane is available... do I have to re-purchase Octane Standalone to make this work.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks need to go to Otoy for this functionality, and yes - it is really great.
