my gtx 580 has 1,470 mb of memory, but
as soon as I reach 1000 mb limit. octane won't render anymore showing
the following in the render screen:
WARNING RENDER IS FAILED!
what is that?
Do you use your gtx 580 for display?
yes I do! What does it mean?

Why does Octane sometimes render in wire my scenes?
as soon as I build the rig to my cars, they turn into wireframe in octane rendering screen...
look here
is there a way to turn this OFF

I have not upgraded to 3 yet because well it's way slower than 2.
However I was wondering, are there any improvements regarding updating the geometry for animations? I ranted about this here:
http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=24773
Is updating geometry faster/ slower/ same vs 2.x? Is there anything that can be done to improve time to update geom?

your car is too much distant from the origin or is too much big in scale
what you see is not wires but triangles with average coordinates, they are not stitched together.

Are you running latest drivers for your card?
I got similar issues and latest drivers fixed it for me.
