The character does not show up in Octane at all, although the materials are there in the materials view.
The character renders fine in Poser 2014. I am using 1.29.0.20

I'm glad you brought this up. I've seen this before as well and curious what the fix is. It might involve modifying the geometry or remapping the texture for the area...just a guess which means I'm probably wrong.

I assume it is a bug since Poser can render the figure just fine.
My guess is that it is some unexpected structure that the converter to Octane did not expect; hopefully it is easy to fix when there is an example figure that can trigger the problem.

In every case I've seen with this, it's a modelling mistake. If you export just the mesh (or even just the toe!) to OBJ and send it to me I'll check it out.

Yeah, poser is a very forgiving program when it comes to geometry...usually anyway.

Now I feel like you have this weird directory on your computer where you keep just 3d modeled toes...

Haha, I don't have a "toes" mesh collection, but I DO have a collection of Poser props/figures which have geometry issues.

Regard Suzy Q 2 - her whole figure has 74442 vertices, and 228268 texture coordinates (UV's), so there is no way the plugin can determine which UV to use with which vertex. The is a modelling issue, so I suggest you contact the vendor of the figure and alert them to the issue and ask for a fix.

Thanks for having a look at the figure.
There must be a way to determine which UV to use since Poser is able to, but I guess it is too difficult to make the plugin fully compatible with Poser?
I don't know anything about UV coordinates and vertices. Would you mind giving me a short description of what is wrong with the figure so I can send it to the creator?

Poser has the raw geometry in memory, so Firefly can make some assumptions. However when PoserPython provides that information (to a plugin like the OctaneRender for Poser) it makes some assumptions that the mesh has been constructed correctly.

I had a further dig around with the mesh, and without spending a lot of time on it, I think there is just 1 polygon causing the issue. There is a polygon in the toe which only has 2 vertices (and probably has 3 UV's) - so that is triggering the mismatch.
It's very rare for a figure to have a problem like this. I'm not aware of any other figures available on the market which have a mesh issue like this. The only issue I can remember is Apollo Max had his feet bones facing the wrong way.

Thanks, I will try to contact the creator and see if they will help.
