Thanks Paul. I'm not sure where to find that login info. All I see is my standalone license info on the liveoctane site

Hi Dan
Go to
https://render.otoy.com/account/index.php? and select Licenses on the left menu - your Octane Standalone and Rhino licenses should then be listed. If not, pls contact Otoy directly to sort out the issue. Also - I notice you are on OSX - there is not currently an OSX version of the Rhino plugin.

I have refreshed the installer at the top of this thread with:
2.24.2.56
- Fixed exception resulting from saving the Rhino options when the OctaneRender Setup panel had not been opened
- Fixed exception when running the OctaneOpenViewport when the OctaneRender Setup panel had not been opened

Maybe this problem is not new or i´m the only one, but if i assign a material to an object that´s part of a layer with sublayers and the objects from the main and the sublayer are grouped - octane doesn´t show the material in the render view. Refreshing the viewport or restarting octane didn´t fix this. Rhino showed me that the material is assigned. After ungrouping and refreshing the viewport all thinks were ok.

Hi - I just tested this, and it worked OK for me - but perhaps our workflows are different. I tried...
1) Add 2 planes, assign the material for each to two layers, one layer being a sublayer of the other. Rendered OK
2) Selected the 2 planes and Edit->Groups->Group. Rendered OK

I have refreshed the installer at the top of this thread with:
3.0.0.57
- Compiled with Octane 3.0.0
- Added Medium and Medium Radius to the Daylight and Texture Environment settings
- Added new Render Passes
- Removed "Ambient" and "Sample Environment" GI Modes from the Direct Light kernel
- Added Deep Image settings to the kernel settings
- Added support for VDB files (add them in proxy ORBX files)
2.24.2.56
- Fixed exception resulting from saving the Rhino options when the OctaneRender Setup panel had not been opened
- Fixed exception when running the OctaneOpenViewport when the OctaneRender Setup panel had not been opened
As this is the first Octane 3 build of the Rhino plugin, exercise caution and keep backup of the 2.24.2 versions of your scenes.
