I read some other posts and the value of focal length in the plugin is 5 by default. I didn't know you mean 5 meters, maybe that should be added to the interface, it fooled me at first :P.

Thanks for your help ;)

Hi.. I render today an animation, and I wanted to stop it for fixing some stuff, but seems there is no button for that :O
Please add some option for stopping the rendering process.. I had to kill the process of 3dsmax to be able to stop the rendering and lost my work lol ...

It's all in the readme..

Hold escape to cancel animation. Should Octane lock up, kill the cmd.exe process.

Hi,
holding the ESC was the first thing I did... nothing happens except octane popup that can't load the following texture but continues to render...
Killing the cmd does't do the trick either.. it jumps back to max and continuing to render the next frame..
As I said, killing the max was the only solution that worked...

PS: it's max 2011

Hi,

It's a bit diffcult controlling all these processes from max.
But there is a trick - when killing the cmd.exe, hold esc when pressing OK to kill the process.

isn't there a way to run octane in silent mode when rendering an animation ? octane keeps opening and closing which is annoying but also making the render time longer.

im using max 2010 64 bit,
the script runs and renders perfectly, but when it exports the files to octane, all my objects are black, they loose color and textures. not even the light can be seen

This is a the only way to render your custom animations right now.
