There's not a problem with 2020. Problem was on 2019 version. It wasn't exporting the values of "volume step length" parameter. Now it's correct in 2020 version and volsteplen=4 is too small and makes your fog is very dense and calculation takes long. Increase it as in video and render will be much faster.
There's a nodegraph window in the plugin to check the exported scene for debugging but nobody cares it.

Sorry Ahmet, didn't know that vsl parameter was revamped in 2020 version, always used single units.
That's exactly what I wanted to know, thank you very much for taking the time to look into it, had so many scenes with Octane's Fog – which I love – and I was almost going to go back to 2019 release only for it..
Have a great Sunday!

Hi,
i get a pluign error.
i change from octane 2019 to 2020. And i get a crash on every load of my C4D scene. But i comes always if i load the scene or if the scene is load after i would render.
I use the latest NVIDIA Driver 07.04.2020 and the Cinema4D version 2020.1-R4 (Stable release)17.05.2020 version.
My Hardware specs:
2x Titan RTX via NVLINK
Windows 10 with all new UPDATES
CPU=AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16 Core
Cinema 4D R21
So can you please Help me to fix the Problem very fast?
I can not work with this error. Bevor it works with 2019 but if i downgrade tot he last version it doent work like in the past.

First off, Thank you for continued support here.
I'll leave the rest of this here just in case someone has the same question I had. I got lost in the terminology... I downloaded the Studio version of the C4D plugin instead of the Enterprise version. Got it all installed and slaves are now participating in the render just fine! And yes... I feel a little stupid.

At the risk of sounding stupid... I've been searching for hours for an answer and just can't find it. It appears that Network Rendering is missing from all menus where I'd normally find it. Did it move? Looked in Options in the Live Viewer. Also in the render settings for C4D. Just not there. Maybe this isn't implemented yet?

Hi Ahmet,
I have noticed that when you increase the cycles on the noise past 5 it stops updating in the live viewer (however it still updates in the icon window). Is this a bug or is OSL c4d noise limited to 5 cycles?
Cheers

By me i have also problems with S22 is always upadating in Liveviwerer.
Also every Animation rendering in Picturerviewer has a very long time (calculation) to begin to render. Evry Frame hangs on "Start Rendring" in S22. I dont no if this this a Maxon or a Octane problem.

Didn't you try in R21 sorry? Maxon assumed every R21 build will work in S22. You're now forcing me to make a special build for S22 and test it. It's a bit frustating for a dev after adding some big improvements in other area and hear different feedbacks
Probably you didn't try every scene because I don't see behavior like this until now.

Hi Aokter,
i tried 3 different scenes in R21 and than in S22. All have this long calculationtime. I don´t noch if this is a problem from Maxon or Octane. I have made a Video there you can see what i mean. Maybe that helps.

I would like to use the 2020.1 R2 plugin to export projects from Cinema4D as animated ORBX via the command line to render them in Octane standalone. Unfortunately the following command always gets stuck. However, the export works via the GUI. Does the command need additional parameters?
Can anyone help?
