Hi Ahmet. I found a problem with rotation channel in universal mat. This material setup turn render to black. Integration same. 2019 works well. This problen related to standalone.
But I wanted to ask, what is the probability that the developers will fix this problem in version 4.05?

I cannot know that, team is busy with new tasks. I'm nearly done for V4 builds, working on the new exciting stuff.

Hello,

Since the latest Nvidia Studio Drivers 441.28 makes Octane 4.05-R7 randomly crashes during rendering (around every 15 frames for me), I switched to the previous version 432.86.

When will we be able to update our Nvidia Studio Drivers and have a stable Octane V4 ?

Thanks
J.

It's a core and nvidia related issue. I don't think V4 will get much updates anymore, this may be latest build. Maintain old builds will hold us to go further.
I may do one build with current sdk for critical problems, but will not cover the core issues.

I honestly really appreciate all the work your putting in these plugins, ahmed!
Still, I think it's a little frustrating for people like me that there are issues that won't be fixed.
The only way to get it working is to buy a new version of octane.

I mean - I already bought octane + standalone once. And still, in this version, there're bugs,
that won't be fixed. It's a little frustrating.

Which issues for example? We have to go for new versions, it's only way go further.

Actually there's just one thing that really bums me out.
So, there is this Pointcolor Node, that you can create through XParticles' OVDB Mesher.
It just translates the color from the Particles to the Mesh.

In the 2019 test version of the plugin it works like a charm. However my V4 just crashes,
once I plug the vertex map into the Diffuse channel...

Thanks Ahmed!

To get it working it should be implemented to transfer data and adapt it to octane. Nothing appears magically without coding.
