Let me vent a little — during Redshift installations, I’ve never once come across a message saying the Windows version is available while macOS users have to wait. Every day I check here, hoping to finally install the new Octane C4D 2025.1 update on my Mac Studio, and I still keep seeing the same message: the macOS version will be released later.

I get it — these things take time, and someone has to compile it. But it also says a lot about the kind of product we’re dealing with.

Has the ONLINE HELP MANUAL perhaps not been updated in the past three years? I wasn’t able to find any information about the new features.

Did I miss any important information? We will continue to provide demo versions?

Great work!

Agreed.. this should always be a simultaneous release schedule.
ALSO.. where is the … Actual product were paying for vs the “Prime” one were getting?
if its just bad naming but is the equivalent of FULL Sub. Then just someone rename it please so its one less layer of confusion!

Hello,

Octane has been problematic for quite a few months now when using motion blur with XP. Unfortunately, the only solution so far has been to switch to Redshift instead. With every new release, I keep hoping this issue will finally be resolved.

I noticed that 'XP Motion Blur Performance' is listed under Future Goals on the Trello board — does this mean the issue has a low priority? Is there any real hope for a fix?

Thx!

The macOS build has been released. The link is in the top post (update page will be updated shortly.
Sorry for the delay, there were some issues with the mac build that we needed to sort out. We are currently the process of setting up CI/CD which should resolve these kind of issues in the future.

Absolutely. Fixing XP motion blur should be a top priority. On the bright side it's forced me to learn Redshift.

That's an old video, just tried in 2025.1 macOs version and I'm having the same motion blur in both Instane, Render-Instance, and Multi-Instance mode
Here is Render-Instance, and Multi-Instance mode comparison:
