What I noticed is before 2 or 3 versions ago (can't really remenber wich build) I'm not abble to pan when render is paused... otherwise it works fine.
Cheers,

Render failure on my heavy scene. Tried to reproduce crash on very light scene - and again.
But i cant reproduce it anymore.
Dont know why its happining. Currently trying in scene with just one object, its ok...
Same issue here! but the Live Viewer works correctly
Edit: everything work only with the CUDA Driver Version: 387.128 on Mac

This v4 release seems to be working really well on macOS. However I've got a weird effect when using a displacement map. It's a simple scene with a 4K 32-bit TIFF displacing a plane, but I get these artefacts along the edge. Any idea why? Map looks fine in Photoshop. I tried with 16-bit TIFF and PNG with the same result.

I usually just add a texture projection to the image texture and increase the scale to 1.01 or smaller. This is nothing new in v4 though.

It may not be nothing new , but it still needs fixing.

It's nothing to be fixed by plugin development.

Um, so why does it happen? The displacement is getting some weird information from somewhere. It makes a scene like that difficult to use, as the edge extrusions cast shadows etc. Very strange.
However, I will say this version feels much more solid on macOS. It's been behaving itself all day, and the new features like denoising are excellent, so good work!

Displacement results are calculated by renderer. I cannot know why these happen, but happen. You can ask in standalone forums for this. Btw great to hear you're happy, enjoy!

I have had a couple of scary crashes with this version.
I was rendering 2 different animations.. png sequences of denoised beauty pass. it got through about 30 frames and my computer completely shut off, and I could not turn it back on until I unplugged it and plugged it back in. There was no crash report when I got it back up.
Mac Pro (mid 2010)
Mac 0.12.6
2x3.460GHz 6 core intel xeon

2 Nvidia GeForce GTX TITAN Xs, 12 gb ram each

OSX 10.12.6
2x3,46 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon
96gb 1333 MHz DDR3
2x NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X 12287 MB (Maxwell)
Cinema 4D R19.068
Displacement: When i try to plug in displacement, I get 'Render Failure!!!' — C4D doesn't crash, but I have to restart it in order to get Octane working again. Even if i unplug the displacement.
The material texture preview outputs a glitchy image that changes every time i try (Screenshot attached)
I've tried a couple of approaches and every time i load the displacement, Octane starts running really slow. As far as I can tell it finally crashes when i scale the texture down with the transform node.
The displacement map is a 3K 8bit png at 2.2mb.
I've attached the log.
Other than that it works really great! Thanks!
