Here is a snapshot of all images for one material. They all have suffix which corresponds to an input type.
Capture.PNG
So I can manually build a material to use all these textures. But when I want to build another one with another set of images I have to change them all manually.

How could I inject all images from a folder to a specific material ( surface ) ?
great idea

Check one of the tools included in the new OD_Tools for LightWave 2018 (OD_PBRImporter)

Juanjo, it's possible to make Octane able to render new lw volumetrics and materials?

You can render OpenVBD volumetrics with Octane, like LW2018, but if you are talking about the light volumetrics and so on, nope, Octane has its own volumetrics system. The same happens with the materials ... as you know Octane only can work with its own material nodes.

I've a problem with this release with network rendering. Color change in windows zone, more darkness !
Just try rectangle with grass color. Render in local and render with network, rectangle zone become darkness !
Thanks in advance

Hi Juan !

Think you can correct this bug! It's very annoying for animation calculation!
thank you in advance

Hi,

The network rendering issues seem a problem in the Octane core and/or standalone, that I'm sure that the developers are aware because it has been posted on the main forums. I suppose that it should be fixed in the next build.

Thanks,

juanjo, thank's for light bug fixing - now I can change any parameters of light when the IPR window is running without freezing everything!

Now that Lightwave 2018 is out, any thoughts on when a build for this version is coming?
Since I have 2015 I can use that of course, but others might not be so lucky :)

Hi,

The Octane plugin build for LightWave 2018 will be released in few days, once the new Octane 3.08 core is released. The 2018 plugin version is ready, with all the code updated to the new 2018 SDK. It has been in development and tested for months, so stay tuned ;)

Thanks,
-Juanjo
