All I get is that useful message from Carrara "An error has occurred", clicking on either Cancel or OK results in Carrara crashing.

I tried downloading the entire DB to a new directory in case I had a corrupt file that was causing the problem, and that also crashed with 642 left to download. The text display on the ORVP also flashes quite a bit during download. I tried the last (previous) version of the plugin and experienced the same results.

This is with C8.5, Win7 Pro, downloading to the default location (\Documents\DAZ 3D\Carrara 8.5\My Presets\My Shaders\LiveDB).
Yep, my bad. Will be fixed in the next update.
Thanks Sighman!!

Hi Rashad,

Other than the LiveDB issue, this build has been very stable (and it's just downloading where the problem is, using what you've already downloaded works perfectly). I did my entry for this months challenge in the DAZ Carrara forum with it, and literally had it running for several days straight without re-starting Carrara. I did have one other minor issue which I haven't been able to replicate, and no one else has either, but it wasn't a show stopper by any means.

I would say give it a try, if you do find any problems, Sighman is REALLY great about fixing things fast.

There was talk of an update to the Carrara plugin to address the shader issues, is there any ETA on that, feeling in the mood to do a few images, so could give it a good going over :D

I have been struggling with getting Object Motion Blur/Alembic support working and it has taken me much longer than I expected. I hope to have something before the weekend but no promises.
