the bottom of this page / thread seems to be a similar issue in Standalone. I'll try out the subsampling setting, but I've never changed that so it'd be strange.
It seems like there's a few people having this problem now in latest versions.
thanks for link
last night i tried to render and it did 200 frames, then relaunched it it did about 100, etc after restarting render 7 times it does 2 frames and freezes. And seems like more objects with motion blur i have and if i use autofocus worse it gets
Otoy please fix it . cannnot render animations at all

CUDA error 700 on device 0: Error code unknown.
-> failed to deallocate device memory
CUDA error 700 on device 0: Error code unknown.
-> could not get memory info
This is eating my brain out. Is it a so called memory leak?
p.s.
Found one silly reason for this - i belive it can be replicated by having two (nearly)identical meshes, same size, same placement, intersect. (I had two different car wheels on the same place) And have them chromed.
Maybe rays bounced too much and crashed the whole render.

In my case I've found out that animation freezes because of not enough cooling. I tested several times. Same sceene on high coolers' RPM renders fine, on automatic cooling setting it freeses. After i have redone cable managment in chasis so that airflow became much more accurate it became okey in automatic cooling settings.
ps: this issue is actual if you have multiple cards of course, one card should be ok in any way.

How did you know?

It's so confusing, how would you do a night render if Octane just blows after half an hour
