Hi

@churumbela: Thank you very much for your update.

Thought it might be an april joke, but it isn't ;)
Just run into a similar problem, when using floatimage for opacity with alpha map. A regular image texture worked!

I have only ever gotten version 1.5 to work in Maya 2012 myself. Ever since 1.7 and all the way up to 2.3 (current) I had to switch to Maya 2014. 2012 does not seem to be supported, even tho they list it as such.

Is there a huge difference between 1.5 and 2.3? regarding sun system and refference functionality. Im used to the Max version and need to have about the same functionality

This is a very anoying bug or if it´s me doing something wrong? when I send a job to backburner I have to send it to only one computer whith a chunk of all frames otherwise it will render the first frame of of every chunk without some textures. Is this a known issue? is there a bug list somewhere where I can read and don´t have to dubble post?

I use two computers, each with a titan and a 780 Ti card for rendering. I havent experienced anything like this on octane for max plugin.

Its very heavy scenes with lots of refferences and textures in them.

I have the same problem since 1.20.2 - 1.5. It's very annoying.

I've had a problem similar to this with IPR but it isn't missing textures it is that sometimes mix materials render white the first time they load in a given session. I'm not saying it is but this may be the same issue as it would give the appearance of missing textures. It may pay for everyone to check if their missing textures are in fact mix materials so that JimStar knows if he has one or two issues and can start looking in the right place.

I have never had an issue with the first frame of a batch render or even a non IPR frame render in the interface do this.

TBFX and Vyoor. Thanks!
I can definitely say most of my materials are mix and they don´t come out white only, and it happens to single material objects also. as for example where I use textures in specular slots on highly reflecting materials, it don´t come out white but silver.
In my scene I also have 3 identical characters and it only happens to to of them. The same every time. This problem is a big obstacle!

I also noticed yesterday that it wont reload textures Or is there a reload button? very frustraiting to edit textures in PS and there is no way to see the change in view port oter than save and restart maya?
anyway I hope we will find a solution to this soon it rely
