Hi everyone.
I noticet that render layers doesn't work. Blender is crashing when I want to use only one of the lender layers. The rendering is ok if all render layers are turned on, but render layers doesn't work in the compositor. Anyone knows a solution to this problem?
Regards,
Jan

Hi all,
I only got the Blender (intergrated) version a couple of days ago..
This is the only project it has happened in (so far) but am currently having a rotation issue with the render view not matching the camera view! I am looking in to it right now but thought it worth seeing if anyone else has had this problem? Due to the Cam being tracked to constraint (empty)?
Thanks
PS: Jimstar.. I am REALLY impressed with your work on this mate

Thank you!
For "live-view" rendering mode you should compare the camera
of the same viewport window, not the different windows. As you have absolutely different size and aspect ratio of different opened viewports (or camera and opened live-viewport), and the Octane's "live-mode" recalculates the camera's view-angle to fit in the current viewport size and aspect...
So, the right way to be sure that it is the bug or not - to compare it in the same view, enabling-disabling the live mode and looking at congruence of the Blender-viewport image and the image rendered into the same viewport by Octane...
Or render in the "F12" mode and compare this rendered image to Blender's camera view...

ah, that makes pretty good sense to me

Will run a 'true' test tomorrow & post results in the evening
Thank you for your reply btw, late here & up early in the morning so am off to zzZZ land

until i post results.. Thank you
UPDATE/edit..
I am currently running a short anim sequence over night (250 frames @ 100 samples, like i say..need sleep!) and have noticed off the bat that the generated frames are indeed showing the unwanted 'tilt' that does not show up in camera view but does in 'live mode' & final render!
will upload the rendered anim to youtube & post here tomorrow, along with more in depth test results after following your advice in more detail

and getting some sleep of course

Sorry for the delay in updating my issue! My children have been taking up a lot of my time over the last couple of days but I plan to get back on this tonight!

Hi!
Could someone help me please?
I try to make somethinge glow through glass.
The environment is the space.
This means everything is dark and the glow comes from a texture.
But through the glass its just dark.
I need to render it with direct lighting, because my hardware is not th fastest

.
I packed a rar with all needed files. Please take a look

Hi dafassi, are these the correct files?
I see a Iris with rainbow colors.
Cheers, mib.

Just bought the plugin and its fantastic, thanks JimStar! One thing I have noticed though is the absence of subsampling/render priority options and there is no gradient texture node. Is there any ETA on these?
