I only got it working if the camera was outside the SSS object.Elvissuperstar007 wrote: how did you do it? I do not work

Do you use glossy material for the walls?boris wrote:different test results here. maybe because of direct light kernel.
made a short test in preparation to an animation. same scene same settings. direct light kernel with AO. hotpixels?
second question: direct light kernel is the way to go for an interior animation like this NOT concerning buying another 10 gpus?
Please show your comparative renders. I am sure, they are not the same.Elvissuperstar007 wrote:Standalone RC2 win 7 64x

Did you use multisub object materials for the bushes?Plankosmos wrote:Hey Karba.
First thax for the update. Here first test results:
The export of instances objects is now much much faster again.![]()
The texture count works now.![]()
But I also came across some old/new problems:
As u can see in the second attached picture below (with the building), there are some texture issues. Thanks to the texture count I can now say, that they are not due to the texture limit. Some shrubs miss textures completely and appear in white or other colors.
I then created a completely new scene to test the shrubs again. There I had the problem that the ground plane didnt appear in the viewport, so that it seems as if the shrubs were placed in the air first attached picture). As soon as I switch off the shrubs (they are instances and octane proxies), the ground plane appears in the viewport - and the other way around.
Greetings
Can you show your render?gabrielefx wrote:@Karba,
I think that the Specular material is too much reflective with reflection set to 1
It seems that it doesn't follow the Fresnel rule.
I'm missing something?
Do you use your gtx 580 for display?mykola1985 wrote:I think i have a strange problem:
my gtx 580 has 1,470 mb of memory, but
as soon as I reach 1000 mb limit. octane won't render anymore showing
the following in the render screen:
WARNING RENDER IS FAILED!
what is that?
It is not supported yet.freelancah wrote:Should it be possible to crop render with the plugin? I seem to get a black render if I try to do so?
