I don't know how but in the 1.28 version suddenly the material picker in the viewport has become a color picker for the white balance and I can't get it to material picker again. Restart octane or poser does not help

I have no idea what caused this. Only thing unusual I did was to change poser smoothing to octane smoothing in setup. But changing that back again does not help. Loading rendertarget from default did not help either
Wim, I wonder if the Config.XML file has more than one pick more enabled? Could you email me your Config.XML file pls?

A quick update:

1) The Cuda errors popping on Refresh with 1.28 has been resolved (thank Otoy for their help with this), and this fix will be in the next Octane release 1.29 - available very soon.

2) Animation texturemaps does not currently work - and the changes from Octane 1.21 onwards makes the method I was using to implement this invalid - so I will need to look into another way of implementing this function, which will take some time.

3) There have been some LiveDb issues reported, and this will be rectified in 1.29

4) The issue with saving renders to a folder with special filenames is fixed in the next release.

It turned out to be a user mistake
I had not realized there is now a white balance picker button on the viewport and I had mistaken that one for the material picker.
Problem solved

I have updated the installer at the top of this thread with:

1.29.0.19
- Fixed issue causing cuda errors when refreshing the scene
- Fixed issue where saving an image to a folder with special characters was not working
- Added cursors for the 3 different Viewport pick modes
- Fixed issue where focus, material and white balance picking was not working correctly if the Viewport had been zoomed out

* Animating with image sequences is not currently working (and it will not be a 'quick fix' to get it working - sorry)
* Left-mouse button dragging the Viewport to pan when the resolution is locked is not currently working (and has potentially not working since focus picking was added)

In order to ensure downloading of LiveDb materials is working correctly, pls delete all files in the following directory:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\OctaneRender\cache

This looks like an internal Poser error. "poser.error: Named actor could not be found" means Poser couldn't locate the item you had as an emitter. Is there just one emitter in the scene? What sort of prop is it?

This has been in the plugin for about 6 months!

6 months!! How the heck did I miss that!!!??!!

I'm not on my system at home at the moment, but is it a simple right click on the viewport or something?
