- Added option for the proxy Replicate function to copy the block instance transforms to the proxy scale and rotation. This has not yet been well tested, so there may be issues found. I think Rhino is potentially applying the scale after the rotation in when supplying the block instance transform, whereas Octane needs the scale before the rotation.
seems to work here :-)

Hello Paul,

I have a question:

Is it possible right now to sort the materials by their name in the thumbnail menu ? I cannot figure out how...and right now it is a little messy with 70 diferent materials...

In case It is not possible, make it a wish :-)

Another nice addition would be to press the key with the first character of a material ( e.g. "m" for "metall-01-glossy" ) and the cursor would jump to the first material with an "m" in the list...

that would make my life a lot easier...

hhEllo Paul,

another wish ...

while I can identify the material which is actually being edited in the thumbnail previews (blue frame), it is quite hard to see the material of the current selected object (small yellow triangles in the corners)

would it be possible to enhance this marks? I think a red frame maybe also a little thicker than the current blue one would probably be much more distinguishable if someone (like poor me...) has to deal with a huge amount of materials...

-> I just realized that maybe you are the wrong person to address this (and also my last wish ...) wishes to... is this a rhino thing maybe ?

best

Andreas

Hi Andreas - yes, this is a general Rhino change, rather than anything I can do in the plugin.

I have refreshed the installers at the top of this thread with:

2.23.1.36
- Compiled with Octane 2.23.1
- Added Scale Textures option on the Octane material panel to scale all texturemaps and procedural textures for the given material simultaneously
- If Safe Frame is enabled, OR when rendering to the Rhino render panel with "Set Rhino Render Resolution from Octane Resolution" off, the Octane FOV is calculated to take into account the Rhino Safe Frame

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

Seems that the latest version broke the ORBX instances links. I had to manually re link all the instances to make them to work and it will loose the links every time that I close the file.

Thanks

I have refreshed the installers at the top of this thread with:

2.23.1.37
- Fixed error loading scenes containing ORBX/OCS proxies
- Changed Viewport navigation to spin rather than orbit

Hello Paul,

I am just back from holiday, downloaded the latest build but I cannot find the 2.23.1 release for network rendering you are mentioning, the latest one seems to be 2.22.2 ... can you give me a link?

Network Rendering
For Network Rendering, you must use the Octane slave release 2.23.1 available from the Development Build Releases subforum.
thanks

Andreas
