I have refreshed the installer at the top of this thread with:
1.28.0.18
- Compiled against Octane 1.28
- Added "Lock" checkbox for scale sliders in the Node Edit box
- Added Configuration option to specify where LiveDb texturemaps are stored
- The above LiveDb texturemap location is also where compress texturemaps are stored from the Compress Texture Maps script
- Added White Balance color picker (I love this!)
- When performing any function with "Retain Existing Imagemaps" - now ONLY THE IMAGE MAP is retained. The power, gamma, invert, transform, projection, etc are now replaced by the pasted material.
- Added configuration option to set the default "smooth" pin value. Set to OFF if you have a scene with lots of flat architectural surfaces. Does not apply to skin materials - which will always have smoothing ON.
- Fixed issue where clicking on a Poser material in the Material Room as selecting the figure/prop in the plugin Material tab rather than the material

Hi Deane - can you trying again after rebooting - just to make sure everything is clear.
Does Octane Standalone 1.28 work for you?

Renders fine in Octane 1.28... with material change... getting a nice pink now on the swimsuit instead of that dull blue.

Thanks - suggest you revert back to the previous version. I just doubled checked the installer and all looks OK.
Can others who have downloaded 1.28.0.18 indicate if it is or is not working for them pls?
Paul

I just downloaded and installed, and it's working fine for me. Maybe your download got corrupted, or the install glitched. Can you pls re-download and re-install and see if that fixes the problem.
And if the problem persists - is it happening with the default Andy scene in Poser?
Paul

OK... cold start reboot... you know... shut down... power button to turn on.
Downloaded the update again... installed against Standalone 1.28
Loaded Poser and the scene I've been dickin' with... girl in next to nothing... you know normal Poser scene for me.
Fell over...
Reset Poser to defaults... loaded this very skinny guy Andy...
Did 'Refresh Octane scene from Poser'...
Fell over...
with same errors...
Must be that bloody Titan card... you've finally written software Paul that out does nVidea
Any more ideas?
