Could not load HDR result, because we have no render threads.
DId you get this when exporting an animation?
When loading an animation and click Auto Refresh to ON and then move the timeslider, the render runs in a loop and never stops. It just keeps restarting when it hits max samples.
I couldn't reproduce this. Does it happen if you start Poser and do the above - or are you exporting an animation first?

You have the scene. It's "Test2.zip" mailed to you july 5. Opening the viewport and hit "Refresh" will give this cuda error.

Same scene as above. I can reproduce this every time with that scene. I'm not exporting the scene. It is done in Poser.

I have refreshed the installers at the top of this thread with:
2.3.0.22
- Fixed issue where Cuda error "Could not load HDR result, because we have no render threads." was being raised
- Fixed issue where moving the animation slider when camera motion blur was enabled caused the render to continuing restart

I have refreshed the installers at the top of this thread with:
2.5.2.23
- Compiled against Octane 2.05.2. IMPORTANT: This release changes the way the exposure is calculated. See the Octane Standalone release notes for 2.05 for details. The plugin will automatically convert old exposure values from scenes saved with previous versions of the plugin to the new system.
However it cannot convert your default or exported rendertargets to the new system, so if using a gamma <> 1, you will to adjust the exposure accordingly, and then Save as Default.
- Fixed issue where the LastOctaneRender had a jpg instead of png file extension
- Initial implementation of HDR Light Studio integration - pls refer to

Well that was a smooth installation and execution... cool!!! Thanks Paul.
I had a look at the video of HDR Lightstudio... thinking...man this is so good... but their web site does not show any compatibility with Poser Octane ... where do we get it???

If you install LightStudio (product or demo), it will appear as a choice in the rendertarget menu (make sure you have restarted poser after installing it). Select "Open HDR Light Studio" and it will it up.

As per the separate thread on this (in this forum) - this is all to be organised. However the standalone and demo version will work with Poser. But if you are thrifty, it might be worth waiting to see if there is a Poser only version released in the near future.

Hi,
sorry, but Im confused what this does. and these threads are getting very long to wade through.
1 Where is a price list of getting up to speed? for poser octane?
2 Im using 1.20 now.
I dont understand what version of POSER OCTANE is newest now. Also why do I need to
upgrade poser octane?
I know there is a sale now, but for what?
Where is a MASTER upgrade price list, with features?
3. Do I need to buy a standalone AGAIN?
4 im on Poser 2014 , which seems buggy, also }
thanks.

Ok,
I guess things are moving quickly. Thats great - but non pro users, need help following what
is going on please.
I guess Poser 2 is available now.
Is 99 euros the SALE upgrade price? { do I have to upgrade standalone too ? }
1. Is octane poser 2 FASTER than 1.20?
2 Does it still use the same amount of RAM?
3 Are all the control panels the same? Can they be customized at all?
4 If I wait, can I get poser octane 2.0 with the HDR in a cheaper package? Does HDR studio do animation?
why do I need it?
thanks
