I think i saw them in a few tutorials and in manual, but when i tested latest 3-4 versions - it doesn't seems to work. If it should not - then fine, but in another case it have an issue. Thanks for your attention.
ps. I’m using Cinema 4D R18.048. Sorry about my poor English.

People in group Octane (in vk.com) helped to find solution: at first I tried to set color to background by using diffuse color, and for some reason it didn’t work. However, in case of using RgbSpectrum in texture channel - works perfect. Sorry for bothering)

Does the latest version have full token support? It doesn't seem to be writing any files or folders to the directory I've specified.

I believe so. Have you tried different cases?

So far, just this:
It worked on the previous version, but the tokens were saved out as "$pass/$take" rather than "foo/camera_left".
With this version, no files or directories from the Octane pass system are saved. The target directory only contains the native beauty pass.

I have not changed anythings. But I'll test it asap.

I've had the same question for some time now. I'm not sure if tokens are fully implemented yet. I've already posted this earlier:

Token support (at least for me, on this version) has gone backwards. In 3.06 I was able to at least save out the passes from the octane dialogue to the right location, even if the folder name for the passes was not correct.

I believe that you didn't tried every cases. As my trys there is a problem if you select "Folders" option but rather than this it's working fine. And i found it's correctly saving the files with tokens but creating some empty directories as ".../$prj/$take/Dif", etc...
Isn't?

Hey there!
Thanks a lot for the awesome updates!
Ive been testing this version and the new features for some days!
It feels pretty stable (at least in my test scenes..

and some older production scenes).
Anyway....recently I noticed
a bug by using the new filtering options in the displacement node. C4D seems to totally freeze down when Im using the
Gaussian type and hit render! No issues with the box type at all!
Not sure if you are already aware of this issue...

But I hope it helps to mention it!
Thanks anyway.
Best, Remo
